Analysing the VAT Totals

You can see a breakdown of how the total of each box from the VAT Return window is made up. This shows for each tax code (T/c) included in the totalÆs calculation, the total VAT accumulated by the following types of transactions:

For users of the Standard VAT scheme: Sales or Purchase Invoices, Sales or Purchase Credits, Bank Receipts or Payments, Journal Credits or Debits.

For users of the VAT Cash Accounting scheme: Sales or Purchase Receipts, Sales Receipts on Account, Purchase Payments on Account, Bank Receipts or Payments, Journal Credits or Debits.

You can then see a breakdown of the individual transactions that make up each of these totals, and then compare these with those shown in your audit trail for the same period.

You can print these breakdowns.
